Easton's Samuel Staples Elementary School, Helen Keller Middle School and Joel Barlow High School will all begin class Sept. 1, according to the official calendar released by Region 9 schools for Redding and Easton. There will be no school on Labor Day, Sept. 6 or on Rosh Hashanah on Sept. 9. There will also be no classes on Oct. 8 for a staff day.
Holiday recess will begin Dec. 24 and continue until Monday, Jan. 3, with winter recess from Feb. 21 through 25. Spring break will fall between April 18 and 22. The tentative last day of Joel Barlow is set for June 13; the other Easton schools have a tentative last day of June 15.
