“Early registration is important as the information we collect will help us to budget accordingly and plan for the next school year,” the school said in a press release.

Registration is open to any child who lives in Weston and will turn 5 years old before Jan. 1, 2014. Registration forms are available through your child’s current preschool, at the Hurlbutt front office or the Weston Public Schools website. Parents should bring the completed packet, a proof of residency and the child’s birth certificate to the office to register.

Incoming Kindergarteners are also invited to take a trial-run bus ride to the school next month. Kids currently attending Early Learning Center, Emmanuel Nursery School, Norfield Nursery School, St. Francis of Assisi Nursery School and Temple Israel Early Childhood Center already have scheduled visits for May 14 and 16 during their regular school hours.

For kids at a different preschool, parents can take their kids on a similar tour on May 16th at 10:30 a.m. Families can meet at the school’s Learning Resource Center, where kids will take a short bus ride and tour of the school. Parents can also meet Hurlbutt interim principal Michael Cicchetti.

Anyone with questions can contact the Hurlbutt Elementary front office at 203-291-1446.
