Register For Weston Before- And After-School Programs

WESTON, Conn. – Weston Youth Services is offering Wow! Before- and After-School programs for Hurlbutt Elementary and Weston Intermediate School students. It also is offering Sitter Safety programs for middle school students, a drivers education program for high school students and free parenting workshops for parents of children in grades K-12.

Online registration at www.westonyouthservies.org opens at 12:01 a.m. Sept. 4 for classes that begin the week of Sept. 17 and run through the week of Dec. 10.

A variety of classes are offered at Hurlbutt and the intermediate school. Model building, Little Scientist, Paint, Draw and More and other classes are scheduled at Hurlbutt.

The Magic Genies Club, taught by professional magician Nisan Eventoff; Classical Guitar, taught by professional guitarist Linda Kessler; and other classes will be held at the Intermediate School.

The Sitter Safety program for grades 6-8 offers students information on infant and toddler care, first aid, fire safety and emergency situations.

Weston Youth Services offers the All-Star Driver program to high school students. The program offers first-time drivers the fundamentals of safe driving.

The free parenting workshops, taught by psychotherapist Jacqueline Lapa Sussman and Barbara Greenberg, a consultant on adolescent issues, are held at the Weston Public Library.
