EASTON, Conn. Easton residents can make the holidays just a little bit brighter for underprivileged boys and girls this year by donating a gift to the Toys for Tots program at Joel Barlow High School.
The high schools student council is sponsoring the donation drive and is asking the community for help in meeting its goal to collect more than 1,000 toys for boys and girls at Bryant Elementary School in Bridgeport.
The student council is looking for toys that are new and in their original packaging; appropriate for children up to 11 years old; of modest value (around $15 per toy); and unwrapped. The drive ends Dec. 9.
Easton residents are also encouraged to donate wrapping paper, bows and gift bags.
Collection boxes are located in the main lobby of Joel Barlow High School, 100 Black Rock Turnpike in Redding.
