Weston, Easton, Redding To Vote In Senate Primary

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Registered Republican and Democratic voters in Weston, Easton and Redding can vote in the primary for the U.S. Senate on Tuesday.

Republicans will choose between Linda McMahon, a businesswoman who was the 2010 Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate and Chris Shays, a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

On the Democratic ticket are U.S. Rep. Chris Murphy and Susan Bysiewicz, a former Connecticut secretary of the state.

Only voters registered with a party can vote on Tuesday. Unaffiliated voters can register in person with the registrar of voters or the town clerk on Monday until 4:30 p.m. in Weston, 3:30 p.m. in Easton and 12:00 p.m. in Redding.

On Tuesday, Weston voters cast ballots at the Weston Intermediate School at 95 School Road. Easton residents vote at the Samuel Staples Elementary School at 515 Morehouse Road. Redding voters cast ballots at the Redding Community Center on Lonetown Road behind the elementary school.

The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. in all three towns.
