“This year, the House debated hundreds of bills on issues from school safety to job creation,” said Shaban, who also works full time as a business litigation attorney, in a statement. “I’m honored to serve as state representative for the people of the 135th District, and I take my role very seriously. I strive to represent the interests and opinions of my community, and to address the issues facing our state and region as a whole.”

Notably, fewer than a third of those serving in the House earned a 100 percent voting record this year.

Shaban is in his second term in the House of Representatives and serves as Republican leader of the Environment Committee.

Also, Shaban has declared his intent to challenge Jim Himes for his seat in Congress in the 2014 election. Read the story here on The Daily Voice.
