In the two state House districts in town:
- In District 2, Republican incumbent Dan Carter turned back a challenge from Democrat Candace Fay. This district includes part of Danbury.
- In District 135, Republican John Shaban ran unopposed and was re-elected. This district includes part of Weston and Easton.
In Redding's state Senate District 26:
- Republican incumbent Toni Boucher turned back a challenge from Democrat Philip Sharlach. This district also includes parts of New Canaan, Redding, Ridgefield, Westport and Wilton.
Also on the ballot, Republican Joseph A. Egan topped Democrat Steven Boa DeMoura in the race for probate judge, according to the Redding Pilot.
Democrat Joanne Perlman and Republican Amy Alcott were re-elected after running unopposed for registrar of voters in their respective parties in town.
All election results are unofficial until certified by the secretary of the state.
