Malloy To Kick Off Centennial Celebration Of Parks In Westport

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Gov. Dannel Malloy will kick off the Centennial Celebration of the State Parks at Sherwood Island and highlight energy efficiency in events Monday in Norwalk and Westport.

At 11 a.m., Malloy will join officials at a shopping center at 542 Westport Ave. in Norwalk to highlight energy efficiency upgrades being made at the complex using the state’s Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy Program.

At noon, Malloy will join other officials at a news conference at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport to kick off the Connecticut State Parks’ centennial celebration and partnership with People’s United Bank.

He will then join officials at the Westport Train Station to highlight energy-efficient upgrades at the facility, including solar panels and electric vehicle charging stations, at 1 p.m.
