Businessman Challenges Incumbent In Redding First Selectman Race

REDDING, Conn. -- Differences are the key when it comes to the two candidates vying to be Redding's first selectman in the Nov. 3 election, according to a story on newstimes.com.

Incumbent Julia Pemberton, 49, a Democrat, said her accomplishments in office offer her the edge, while her Republican challenger, Eric Witt, 52, highlights his experience on the global and national stages, reported newstimes.com.

Keeping Redding affordable is something they both agree upon, saying they want to restart Georgetown development, improve property values and reduce taxes, the story said.
