Woman Charged With Stealing, Using Co-Worker's Debit Card In Westport

WESTPORT, Conn. -- A 21-year-old Bridgeport woman was arrested on multiple charges relating to the theft of a debit card from a co-worker last year, Westport police said.

Geralda Francilme is accused of stealing a co-worker’s debit card and using it illegally in the area, Westport police said. 

The larceny and credit card theft were reported to Westport police in July 2014.

An investigation by the Westport Police Department Detective Bureau with the assistance of the People's Bank Fraud Department and the Stop & Shop Loss Prevention helped identify the suspect, police said. 

On Thursday, Westport officers went to the Trumbull Police Department, where they arrested Francilme on an outstanding warrant.

She was charged with sixth-degree larceny, credit card theft and illegal use of a credit card, police said. 

Francilme was held on $250 bond and issued a court date of Oct. 19 at Norwalk Court.
