Patricia Hiller, 70, of North Main Street, faces two counts of issuing a bad check.
Both charges stem from checks Hiller wrote in 2016. On Aug. 1 of that year, a complainant said Hiller wrote a check for $1,039.92 that could not be cashed against Hiller’s account due to insufficient funds.
A second victim alerted police in September 2016 that a check from Hiller for $945.46 could not be processed because the account was closed, police said.
Both victims sent certified letters to Hiller with no response, so arrest warrants were filed, police said.
Hiller was picked up at Norwalk Police Department. She was unable to post bond and appeared in court on Wednesday.
