Westport police said they received a complaint Jan. 10 from the victim, who said had filed a restraining order against Tyler Healy, 26, lear year.

A full restraining order was issued and as part of the order, Healy was to have no contact with the victim, police said.

But on Jan. 10, Healy contacted the victim’s sister via a Facebook message, the victim told police.

In this message, Healy tried to persuade the sister to contact the victim on his behalf, police said.

Even though Healy did not contact the victim directly, his actions are considered a violation, police said. The restraining order stipulates that Healy is not to contact others if that contact would be likely to cause an annoyance or alarm to the protected person, police said.

Westport police submitted a warrant to Norwalk Superior Court.

On March 30, Healy was arrested by the Westport Police and charged with violation of a restraining order. He was released from custody after posting $2,500 bond for a court date on March 31.
