Police were dispatched on Monday to a report of a motor vehicle accident without injuries at the intersection of Post Road East and Sherwood Island Connector. Police said that Alexander Rosa, 31, of Bridgeport initially gave police a false first name and date of birth. The car was also unregistered, uninsured and had a license plate for a different car, according to police.
Due to Rosa not having any identification on him, police took him into custody on motor vehicle charges. At police headquarters, Rosa admitted that he had used his brother's name, police said. Rosa was charged with criminal impersonation, among other motor vehicle charges. He was unable to post a $2,500 bond and was taken to court on Tuesday.
