Police said that around 10 p.m., they found Michael Saltzman, 26, outside his crashed vehicle. As officers approached, they could smell alcohol and his speech was slow and slurred, according to police.
Saltzman failed the standard field sobriety tested and was taken into custody, police said. He refused to submit to a breath test, police said. He was charged with operating under the influence drugs/alcohol and failure to drive in proper lane.
He was released on $500 bond. He is due to appear in court on April 25 in Norwalk, police said.
