The two new vehicles will replace the two oldest vehicles in the fleet which will be retired, The Weston Forum reported.

The vehicles were purchased using $82,576 from the town’s vehicle sinking fund and partially through the police vehicle reserve fund, which contains money collected from private duty. In addition to paying for an officer to control traffic, the town charges private duty contractors $18 an hour for police vehicles that are used, The Weston Forum reported.
