On Thursday at 4:45 p.m.,Westport Police responded to 1655 Post Road E. No. 53 on a report that Messiah Frazier, 2, was missing. He was last seen with his uncle, Danny Frazier, when they were dropped off at a barber shop in Norwalk between 2 and 3 p.m., police said.
Reports are that Frazier then left the child unsupervised and went to a bank, check cashing store, and cellphone store, all in Norwalk, police said.
Frazier is a known drug addict and convicted felon and is not the biological father of Messiah, police said. Nor does Frazier not have custody of Messiah, police said.
"Attempts to locate Frazier have been unsuccessful and the safety and security of the child are of grave concern," Westport police said.
Messiah is a 2- to 3-feet tall, about 30 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black top and black pants.
NBC Connecticut said the boy’s grandmother, who had custody, died Thursday of natural causes. Danny Frazier, also lived in the home, is not answering calls from family or police, NBC Connecticut said.
Anyone with information that can help locate Messiah is urged to call the Westport Police Department at 203-341- 6000.
