Redding Police Break Up Street Fight, Arrest Three

REDDING, Conn. – Police broke up a fight Wednesday between three intoxicated roommates on Main Street and charged them with disorderly conduct, police said.

Redding police, assisted by Wilton and Weston police, arrested Arlen Andrews, 25, Jennifer Ackerly, 29 and Conor Andrews. Arlen Andrews also was charged with interfering with a police officer. All were released on cash bond and given court dates.

In other Redding police news:

? A Barlow student sold pot brownies to a fellow student and both were arrested Thursday, police said. A 16-year-old from Redding was charged with illegal distribution and a 16-year-old from Easton was charged with possession when Redding police discovered the brownies after being informed by the school, police said. The students were released to their parents and will appear in juvenile court.

? Christian Toomey, 28, of Bethel, struck a car head-on driven by Roy Randall, 38, of Redding, Wednesday on Route 107, police said. Randall was taken to Danbury Hospital and treated for moderate injuries. Toomey was charged with failure to drive right and operating an unregistered vehicle.

? Richard Bialko, 48, struck a school bus after pulling out of his driveway on Woodland Drive, police said. There were children on the bus but no injuries, police said. Bialko was ticketed for failure to grant right of way.
