Redding Cops Respond To Fight At Lumber Yard

REDDING, Conn. ? Redding police responded to a report of two women fighting at a lumber yard on Main Street on Monday. One was struck in the face, and her nose and mouth were bleeding, according to the police. Neither woman filed charges or was hospitalized.

In other Redding police news:

• Constantine Poulos, 48, of Redding, was arrested Sunday on Route 107 and charged with DUI, police said. He failed sobriety tests and was released on a $30 bond. He was given an Oct. 10 court date.

• A motor vehicle accident occurred on Umpawaug Road on Friday when Noe Guzman, 34, of Danbury, rounded a curve, slid on the wet road and hit a vehicle driven by Kevin Jones, 43, of Redding, according to the police report. There was front-end damage to both cars, and Guzman was ticketed for speeding.

• Douglas Prugh, 42, of Redding, drove across the center lane on Mountain Road on Sept. 26 and struck a vehicle drive by Joseph Nazzaro, 65, of Redding, according to the police report. Prugh was ticketed for speeding. No injuries were reported.
