Lynn Sclafani, of West Parish Road, is accused of fraudulently obtaining over $30,000 in home furnishings and artwork by writing checks for those items from an account with insufficient funds, police said.
The items were purchased from a variety of Westport stores, ranging from large chains to small boutiques, police said.
Sclafani was charged with first-degree larceny and second-degree larceny—both felonies—as well as issuing a bad check. She was arrested while appearing at Norwalk Superior Court on similar, but unrelated charges, police said. She was held on a $21,000 bond.
On March 23, Sclafani was arrested on four warrants charging her stealing a total of $12,000 in items.
She is next due in court on April 15.
