Officers were dispatched to a home on Tuesday, Aug. 22 on what was originally reported as a medical issue, police said. While en route to the home, they were told that a disturbance was taking place.
Adham Elsharkaway, 31, of Westport had threatened to kill two family members and threatened to light one of their cars on fire, according to police. He was also violating an active protective order, police said.
Elsharkaway was charged with first-degree threatening, criminal violation of a protective order, and disorderly conduct. He was held on a $20,000 bond and appeared in court on Thursday.
