Police: N.Y. Woman Resisted Arrest in Westport

WESTPORT, Conn. – A 20-year-old woman from Armonk, N.Y., faces multiple charges after she allegedly became unruly following a traffic stop in Westport, police said.

Amy Conahan was stopped on Hillspoint Road after it was reported she was tailgating another car. Officers discovered she was carrying a license that was not hers, police said.

Conahan allegedly became loud and abusive toward the officers, the police report states. When officers took Conahan into custody, she resisted by pulling away and screaming obscenities, police said.

Conahan was charged with third-degree forgery, breach of peace and interfering with an officer. She was released after posting a $2,500 bond and is due in court on July 9.
