Norfield Road In Weston Closed As Police Search For Missing Easton Couple

WESTON, Conn. – Norfield Road in Weston is closed Thursday evening as State Police search for a missing Easton couple in the area, reports the Connecticut Post.

Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin of Easton have not been seen since early August. There 27-year-old son Kyle is a person of interest in the case. A police investigation into their disappearance has closed Norfield Road in Weston on Thursday evening.

The Weston Forum reported that at least 15 police cars are in the area and a helicopter with floodlights was overhead

Jeffrey Navin, 56, president of J&J Refuse, and his wife, Jeanette Navin, 55, aWeston Intermediate School library paraprofessional, have not been seen since Aug. 4.

Since then, State Police and local police have searched in many places throughout the state, including at waste disposal sites, for the two.

Their son, Kyle Navin, 27, operations manager of J&J Refuse, is in federal custody on a charge of possession of a firearm by a drug-addicted person. He has been described by police as a person of interest in the disappearance of his parents. 

A federal indictment included cellphone records of texts between the father and son in which Jeffrey Navin accused Kyle Navin of killing his mother.
