Man Threatens To Shoot Woman, Westport Police Say

A man who threatened to shoot a Westport woman in a voicemail is behind bars after turning himself into police.

John Adams, 63, of Brooklyn, was arrested on April 9, by Westport Police after turning himself on a warrant, said the Westport Police.

According to police, Adams called a Westport woman and left a voicemail message in which he threatened to shoot her, police said.

Adams was charged with threatening and disorderly conduct. 

He was being held on a $5,000 bond.
