An officer from the Westport Police Department spotted Bridgeport resident Andrew Ritz allegedly panhandling in a parking lot at approximately 5 p.m. on Monday afternoon, leading to further investigation.
While interviewing Ritz, it was later determined that there were two active arrest warrants out for him, and he was subsequently taken into custody and charged with two counts of failure to appear in court for both warrants. After he was processed on the charges, Ritz was released after posting $100,000 bond and is due to appear in Stamford Court on July 3 to answer the charges.
