Man Accused Of Stealing Boat From Westport Family Member

WESTPORT, Conn. – A 26-year-old Florida man was arrested and charged with larceny and forgery in connection with the theft of a family member’s luxury sport fishing boat, police said.

A lengthy investigation into the theft led police to Giuseppe Boccanfuso, the police report said. Boccanfuso, who lives in Hallandale Beach, was arrested on July 30 while back in the state, police said.

Boccanfuso was charged with three counts of second-degree forgery and one count of first-degree larceny, all felonies. He was released after posting a $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 13.
