Jennifer Briggs of Fairfield was charged after turning herself in to Westport police on Dec. 30, police said. She is free on bond and is due in Norwalk court Jan. 15.
Westport police said Briggs had parked on a "No Parking" zone at the preschool lot on Burr Road. An employee, who was helping another student, asked Briggs to move her car, police said, but she refused.
The employee tried to take a photo of the car, but Briggs grabbed the employee's phone and swung it, while holding her child with her other hand, police said.
Other people broke up the fight and no one was injured, police said.
