Latonya Still, age 40, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 16 by the Westport Police for the incident which took place in November, said Lieutenant David Wolf.

According to Wolf, in November, a Westport Police detective responded to a local residence on a report of possible larceny.

The victim’s daughter told police that she was looking over her father’s financial statements when she noticed some irregularities.

A more extensive review of the victim’s bank records revealed that multiple checks were made out to Latonya Still, who worked as the victim's home health aide, Wolf said.

The checks were allegedly written without the victim’s permission and upon examining copies of the checks in question the victim confirmed that his signature had been forged, Wolf added.

A warrant was issued and Still was arrested and charged with identity theft and larceny.

Still was released from custody after posting a $7,500 bond.
