Firefighters were dispatched to the scene at around 7 a.m. on reports of an accident. Engine 5, Rescue 3 and the shift commander arrived on scene to find two cars that had been involved in a T-bone collision, fire officials said. Fire officials said that extrication was completed at around 7:21 a.m. and care for the driver was transferred to Westport EMS. The occupants of the other vehicle were also treated by EMS.
