In April, Westport officers were dispatched to Stop & Shop at 1790 Post Road E. on a report of shoplifting, police said.
A woman was caught on video surveillance placing beer and energy drinks into her cart, then leaving the store without paying, police said.
Officers were able to identify the suspect as Nickie Thompson because she committed the same crime in Bridgeport, police said.
Westport police submitted a warrant to the court for her arrest. Officers went to the Milford Police Department on June 21 and took Thompson into custody on the active warrant, police said.
She was charged with sixth-degree larceny and held on $10,000 bond for a June 30 court date. She was also processed on an arrest warrant charging her for failure to appear.
