Ava Chuzas, 23, of Coleman Street, was charged with third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, police said. She was held on $25,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 8.
At 2:30 a.m. July 23, police were called to a Westport home on a report of a disturbance there earlier. Chuzas and the victim were attending a social gathering, when Chuzas became angry with the victim, police said. She struck him with a lamp, causing a cut on his face, police said.
When officers arrived, a witness corroborated the victim’s account, police said.
Westport Police sought an arrest warrant and Chuzas turned herself in on Dec. 8.
