STONINGTON, Conn. - Paul J. Feeney Jr., of Stonington died Tuesday, April 9. He was 47.
Feeney was born in White Plains, N.Y., son of Paul J. Feeney Sr. and Mary (Munley) Feeney. He moved to Westport in 1976 and was a 1983 Staples High School graduate. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and later graduated from UCONN. He was a resident of Stonington since 2004, and had previously resided in Groton. He was formerly employed with Pfizer for several years.
Feeney is survived by his wife, Valerie (Fitzpatrick); sons, Ryan, Conor and Aidan Feeney all of Stonington; sister, Mary Frances Stevenson (David), of Charleston, S.C.; two nieces; in-laws, Patrick and Maria Fitzpatrick of Trumbull; and sister-in-law, Hilary Fitzpatrick of Fairfield. He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Michael.
Calling hours are Monday, April 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Mystic Funeral Home Route 1 Mystic (51 Williams Ave.) A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 16 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church 56 Sacred Heart Dr. Groton. Burial will be private in Westport.
