Mary Elizabeth Lally Reed, 82, Former Weston Resident

YARMOUTHPORT, Mass. - Mary Elizabeth Lally Reed of Yarmouthport died Thursday, Aug. 15. She was 82.

Reed was born May 6, 1931, in Boston, daughter of Frank L. Lally and Alice E. Lally. After growing up in Brookline, Mass., she graduated from Lesley College. She spent a major part of her life in Weston, Conn., and was a member of the Weston Women’s Club.

Reed is survived by son Robert R. Reed Jr. of Branford, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Robert R. Reed; and brother, Frank Lally.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22 at Sacred Heart Chapel on 32 Summer St., Yarmouthport.
