Malvina Tenay Gancsos, 97, Of Easton

EASTON, Conn. - Malvina Tenay Gancsos, of Easton, formerly of Fairfield, died Friday, Aug. 2. She was 97.

Gancsos was born in Stratford, daughter of Alexander and Rose Tenay. She lived in Fairfield for most of her life prior to moving to Easton 12 years ago to live with her daughter, Andrea DePaulis. She was vice president and secretary for Park City Manufacturing in Stratford which was founded and operated by her husband.

Gancsos is survived by her daughter Andrea DePaulis; sons, Frank and Melvyn; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Jennie Hunter; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Frank Gancsos; sister, Rose Shay; and  brother, Alex Tenay.

Calling hours are Monday, Aug. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 9 a.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield and follow in procession to Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield where a graveside service will be held with the Rev. Spollett, Pastor of First Church Congregational, Fairfield officiating.
