Luis Rodriguez, 88, Of Easton, WWII Veteran

EASTON, Conn. - Luis Rodriguez of Easton died Wednesday, Oct. 10. He was 88.

Rodriguez was born in Naranjito, Puerto Rico, to Teodoro Rodriguez and Maria Rodriguez. He relocated to the Connecticut area in 1956 where he was employed at the Nancy Lynn Bakery for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Rodriguez is survived by his daughters, Marianela Torres (Angelo) from Bridgeport, Nayda Torres from Bridgeport, Wanda Rosado (Fred) from Easton, Ivonne Barbiere (Joseph) from New Jersey; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents.

Calling hours will be private at the convenience of the family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. directly at St. Ambrose Church, 461 Mill Hill Ave., Bridgeport. Interment in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
