Jo-Anne Tallcouch, 73, Ex-Westport Postal Worker

EASTON, Conn. – Jo-Anne R. Graziani Tallcouch of Easton died July 28. She was 73. 

Born Aug. 28, 1938, in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of Joseph and Anna Somen Graziani. She graduated from Bassick High School in 1956. She was married to Christian W. Tallcouch Sr. 

Tallcouch was a Fairfield resident for 35 years before moving to Easton 10 years ago. She worked in admissions for Long Island College and Norwalk Hospital and for the U.S. Postal Service in Westport for over 32 years before retiring. 

Her likeness was used for a commemorative stamp honoring the U.S. postal worker. She also worked as a waitress in several restaurants. Tallcouch enjoyed traveling, especially her monthly trips to the Atlantic City casinos. She also enjoyed shopping trips with her sister, Lorraine. 

She is survived by her husband, Christian; two sons, Christian (Ann) Tallcouch Jr., of Stamford, and Mark Tallcouch, of Florida; a sister, Lorraine (Tom) Yandell, of Killingworth; a brother, Joseph (Sherry) Graziani, of Florida; three grandchildren; a close nephew, Bob Garamella, and several other nephews, nieces and cousins. 

Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lesko and Polke Funeral Home in Fairfield Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. George Albanian Orthodox Church in Trumbull. Burial will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Easton. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. George Albanian Orthodox Church.
