WESTPORT, Conn. - Grover C. Mills, longtime Westport and Weston resident, died Sept. 30. He was 72.
Mills was born March 23, 1941, at Norwalk Hospital. He was one of twin children to Larry and Elizabeth Mills of Westport. After attending Staples High School, he graduated from the University of Bridgeport and served in the Peace Corps in Chile. He returned to Westport and after a brief interval teaching, began his building career.
Mills is survived by his wife, Eileen Grace of Weston; son, Geoffery Mills; and niece and nephew. He was predeceased by his parents; and twin sister, Gail Detrick.
A celebration of Mills’ life will take place at the Nature Center Building on the east end of Sherwood Island State Park Friday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m.
