Frank Sinko III, 47, Revenue Examiner Of Easton

EASTON, Conn. – Frank Sinko III of Easton died July 30 at Ashlar of Newtown, Conn. He was 47. 

He was born Aug. 5, 1964, in Fairfield to Frank and Gertrude Kickenweiz Sinko Jr. Raised in Fairfield, Sinko lived in Southport before moving to Easton 15 years ago. He graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in 1982 and Sacred Heart University in 1991.

Sinko worked as a revenue examiner for the state of Connecticut's Department of Revenue Services. He enjoyed playing hockey in recreational hockey leagues for many years. He was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins, Detroit Tigers and a season ticket-holder for the Washington Redskins for 10 years.

When Sinko wasn't watching his teams in the stands or on TV, he was spending time with his family and friends. A wood craftsman, he also enjoyed building children's toys and furniture. 

He is survived by his partner, Marcia Baity; a brother, John Sinko, of Fairfield; a sister, Regina (Bryan) Kardos, of Norwalk; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and relatives. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lesko and Polke Funeral Home in Fairfield Center. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
