Abraham Goldbloom, 96, Of Easton

EASTON, Conn. - Abraham Goldbloom of Easton died Wednesday, Aug. 21. He was 96.

Goldbloom was born in New Haven, son of Louis and Annie Goldbloom, and was a longtime member and supporter of the Jewish Center for Community Services. He was a member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom of Bridgeport, and Temple Lodge # 127 A.F. & A.M.

Goldbloom is survived by his wife, Bernice Goldbloom; children, Michael Goldbloom, Susan Herman (Michael), Leslie Gold; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and brothers, Sidney Goldbloom and Norman Goldbloom (Edith). He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Larry Macy.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, Aug. 23 at 11 a.m. from The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home 88 Beach Road in Fairfield, with interment following at Rodeph Sholom Memorial Park on Kings Highway. Shiva will be observed at the home of Bernice Goldbloom Friday, Aug. 23 through Sunday, Aug. 25 evening.
