Work Begins On Bridge Carrying Route 57 Over Kettle Creek In Weston

WESTON, Conn. -- The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing construction activity will begin for the rehabilitation of the Route 57 over Kettle Creek in Weston.

Construction activity also will begin on the bridge on Route 188 in Southbury.

The project consists of new culvert installations at two locations in Weston, and a pipe lining in Southbury. The project was awarded to Dayton Construction Company Inc. of Watertown for about $3.3 million and is scheduled to be completed by July 4, 2018. 

On Route 57, the contractor will maintain at least one lane of traffic in each direction from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

On Route 188, the contractor will maintain at least one lane of traffic in direction from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
