Woman Faces Rx Forgery Charge in Westport

WESTPORT, Conn. – Palmira Escaleira of Bridgeport turned herself in to Westport police Friday night on a warrant charging her with forging prescriptions, police said.

Escaleira, 46, was an employee at Westport Family Health when she stole and forged prescriptions, which she later filled, police said.

She was charged with obtaining a controlled drug/forged prescription, second-degree forgery, criminal impersonation and sixth-degree larceny. She was released after posting a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 16.
