What's Happening in Weston This Week

Weston, Conn. – A Weston Board of Education meeting, volunteer training at the Norwalk Maritime Aquarium and tai chi are just some of the events happening in and around town this week. Here are some of the highlights:

Monday, Feb. 27

7:30 p.m.: The Weston Board of Education will meet at the Weston Public Library, 56 Norfield Road.

Tuesday, Feb. 28

9-11 a.m.: Come meet with local Westonites and chat over a warm cup of coffee at the Norfield Grange’s Coffee Club. The coffee is free, although there is a suggested $5 donation. The grange is located at 12 Goodhill Road. This program also takes place Thursdays.

7:30 p.m.: The Weston Zoning Board of Appeals will meet in the community room of Town Hall, 56 Norfield Road.

Wednesday: Feb. 29

4 p.m.: Let your child’s creative juices flow this afternoon during the Easton Public Library’s Arts and Crafts program. Kids in kindergarten through second grade are invited to create a snow cloud mobile they can take home and enjoy.

7:30 p.m.: The Weston Charter Revision Commission will meet in the meeting room of Town Hall, 56 Norfield Road.

Thursday: March 1

9:15 p.m.: There will be a meditation class at the Weston Public Library, 56 Norfield Road. The free program should last about an hour.

5:30 p.m.: There will be a tai chi class at the Weston Public Library, 56 Norfield Road. This program is free.
