WESTPORT, Conn. – The Bridge Street bridge in Westport’s Saugatuck neighborhood will be closed part of Monday and Tuesday for continuing repairs, Westport First Selectman Gordon Joseloff said Thursday.
The bridge will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days to allow Cianbro Construction Co. to make repairs to the mechanical and electrical components of the swing bridge, Joseloff said.
Signs and markings for detour routes will be posted, Joseloff added.
The span, formally known as the William J. Cribari Bridge, was damaged during Hurricane Sandy. Repair work is expected to continue into early April.
