Weston's Norfield Giving Fair Raises $13,000

WESTON, Conn. – Saturday’s Norfield Giving Fair at the Norfield Church raised almost $13,000 with over 160 volunteers performing a variety of community service projects in Weston and surrounding towns.

Volunteers from the Weston Kiwanis Club, Weston High School KEY Club, Weston Girl and Boy Scout troops and individuals visited low income seniors, provided five refugee families with needed items on their wish lists, painted and performed landscape work on a Bridgeport  homeless shelter, cleared brush outside a low income housing complex and delivered food to a boys home in Stamford.

Events also took place at Norfield Church, including a dance party for adults with developmental disabilities and a board game and art party for disadvantaged children.

In the evening a crowd of 200 volunteers and friends enjoyed a pig roast and barbecue dinner and were entertained by St. Lukes Steel Band from New Haven.
