Weston Opens Emergency Shelter, Town Buildings

WESTON, Conn. – Town officials have opened several buildings so that Weston residents without power can have a place to get warm or use the Internet.

A 24-hour emergency shelter has opened at the Weston Middle School, 135 School Road. Officials are asking residents to bring their own bedding, towels and toiletries.

Town Hall will be open Monday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. The Senior Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

According to Connecticut Light & Power, 2,647 Weston residents still without power in the wake of this unusual October storm.
