Weston Man Injured in Car vs. Tree Accident

WESTON, Conn. -- Gregory Heintz, 51, of Weston struck a tree in his 1967 Pontiac GTO convertible on July 27 trying to avoid another car, Heintz told police.

Heintz told police he was traveling east on Godfrey Road East at 7:22 p.m. when a black sedan with a loud muffler crossed over the middle lane going the opposite way. Heintz swerved to avoid the vehicle and struck a tree. Police could not find the other vehicle.

Heintz was treated for injuries by Weston EMS, and his car was towed to Georgetown Auto.
