Weston Looks To Reopen Roads Wednesday

WESTON, Conn. — Every main road in Weston was closed Tuesday because of damage from Hurricane Sandy, but the town was looking at the possibility of reopening them Wednesday afternoon.

"Crews are working with CL&P, and we're hoping roads will be open by tomorrow afternoon," said Sgt. Mike Ferullo, director of emergency management. "The majority of trees down have power lines attached to them and only CL&P can work on the power lines. There are seven CL&P crews in town."

The town shelter at the middle school, which was first opened Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m., will be open Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Selectman David Muller said. The shelters have showers and facilities for recharging electrical equipment.
