Weston Goes For Malloy, Foley

Twenty-four percent of registered voters cast primary ballots Tuesday at Weston Intermediate School Tuesday, according to published reports. The tally was 462 of the 2,186 registered Democrats and 460 of the 1,887 registered Republicans.

In the Democratic gubernatorial primary, Dan Malloy beat out Ned Lamont , 272-217. For lieutenant governor, Nancy Wyman defeated Mary Glassman, 297-166. The winner of the secretary of state contest was Denise Merrill, 248-199 over Gerry Garcia. And for comptroller, Kevin Lembo bested Michael Jarjura, 338-102.

On the Republican side, gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley received 242 votes to 165 for Michael Fedele and 80 for Oz Griebel. Mark Boughton got 244 votes for lieutenant governor versus 215 for Lisa Wilson-Foley. Linda McMahon trumped both Peter Schiff and Rob Simmons for U.S. senator with 254 votes to 150 for Schiff and 92 for Simmons. Dan Debicella blew Rob Merkle out of the water, 333-83. Rick Torres got 62. Martha Dean had 292 votes for the attorney general to 163 for Ross Garber.
