Weston Farmers' Market Opens Saturday

WESTON, Conn. – Fans of fresh produce will enjoy a new season of Weston Farmers Market Saturdays beginning this weekend at the Weston Historical Society.

The weekly market will run from 9 a.m. to noon from June 16 to Sept. 29. Local produce, homemade sauces, jellies, honey, baked goods, linens, soaps, jewelry and crafts will be available.

A number of new vendors will be at the farmers' market this year, including Molly & Murphy, which makes all natural Irish dog biscuits; Wilton's Nod Hill Soap, which offers handmade soap and beauty products; and Weston’s Whipped Up Creations, which makes cookie dough.

Also new this year is a kid-managed lemonade stand. Vendor rental fees and the lemonade stand will raise funds for Weston charitable organizations.

The Farmers Market is held rain or shine.

The Weston Historical Society is located on Route 57 at High Acre Road.
