Weston Declares State of Emergency

WESTON, Conn. — Weston in a state of emergency, First Selectman Gayle Weinstein declared Saturday night.

The decision was made to allow the town to use volunteers, if necessary, to staff a shelter or for other emergency procedures. The town will also be able to seek assistance from the state or neighboring communities if the damage to infrastructure is severe, Weinstein said in an email to The Daily Weston.
