Weston Cops Want Emergency Info on Kids

The second a child goes missing in Weston, the police department looks for information to help identify him or her.

"The sooner we get the information out, the better," said Weston Police Detective Carl Filsinger.

The Weston Police Department is providing a pamphlet for parents and their kids to fill out in case of an emergency. The child identification information includes the child's full name, physical description, Social Security number, address, nicknames, friends, family, a recent photograph, a DNA sample, medical information and dental information. The police department will also provide fingerprint ink for the child's fingerprints to be recorded.

The information is to be kept in a safe place where the family can easily access it if a child goes missing. Pamphlets can be picked up at the Weston Police Department and the Communications Center.
